Review: Hpnotiq

Hpnotiq is a French mixed drink of vodka, cognac, and tropical fruit juices. I don't know which ones, mainly because the drink itself is bright blue. It's gaining real popularity in night clubs and with young adults.

The drink is an opaque bright blue with pineapple & cognac aroma. Has a strong alcohol flavour than it really is (only 17%) and a possibly mango and pineapple taste. It's not that bad, not too sugary sweet, and makes you think you're drinking something stronger than you really are.

The downside of this is that it's pretty pricey. A 375mL bottle can cost half again as what similar drinks are priced. This is probably because of good cognac being used, but with the strong fruit juice flavour, you can't really tell. Bottle design is pretty swanky, though.
